Red/Amber Hojari is a color‑based grade of Boswellia sacra harvested in the Dhofar region of Oman, the world’s most famous source of high‑quality frankincense. With deep, warm aroma ideal for meditation and ceremonial burning, visually striking reddish‑amber tears, high aromatic potency from Dhofar’s unique climate. Oman sat at the heart of the incense route, exporting frankincense to the Mediterranean, India, and Africa. Ancient ports like Sumhuram thrived on this trade as early as the 3rd century BCE. Frankincense was so valued it was called “liquid gold.”
Traditional Uses
